Please note, that unless otherwise specified, all EBTC Group Rides will be unofficial club rides. This means there is no TriBC insurance. For March and April rides start at 8:30 am from the Vancouver Aquatic Centre. May-Sep rides will start at 8:00 am.

A few notes on our group rides:

1. Carry a spare tube, bike tool and pump.

2. Know how to change your own flat.

3. Carry identification: we highly recommend RoadID.

4. If you are carrying a cell phone, obtain at least one number from a fellow rider. If you leave the group ride early, please message someone so we know you are ok.

Membership Options

  • EBTC + Triathlon BC Membership = $65
  • EBTC only (this option is only available to members that already have a 2009 Triathlon BC Membership.

All EBTC Members must have a current Triathlon BC membership (even if you do not plan on racing this year).

EBTC membership enables you to:

  • attend club functions
  • join formal group rides
  • participate in at least two cycling clinics
  • discounted Triathlon BC Membership
  • discounts at Pacific Multisport

Some activities will require drop-in or usage fees. These would include some skill workshops where professional coaches have been hired. The cost of these additional workshops will be minimal.

The English Bay Triathlon Club (EBTC) promotes and supports participation in triathlon in an inclusive, supportive and non-intimidating environment. Our membership reflects the diversity of the community in which we live and in particular attracts many lesbians and gay men living in downtown Vancouver.
