About

English Bay Triathlon Club

Welcome

The English Bay Triathlon Club (EBTC) promotes and supports participation in triathlon in an inclusive, supportive and non-intimidating environment. Our membership reflects the diversity of the community in which we live and in particular attracts many lesbians and gay men living in downtown Vancouver.

Our goal is to have fun while enriching our lives by achieving our personal best in fitness and triathlon multi-sport.

EBTC is operated as a not-for-profit organization by a volunteer board of directors. We are affiliated with Triathlon BC, English Bay Swim Club and Vancouver Frontrunners.

Training

Cycling

Our official Cycling training season runs from February to June of each year.

Training activities such as group rides and bike skill clinics are posted in our Yahoogroups! site. In addition, members are encouraged to identify their race goals, and share travel and lodging arrangements to attend races.

Running

EBTC has partnered with Vancouver Frontrunners to assist you in improving your running.

Membership in the Vancouver Frontrunners is available at the time of EBTC registration for an additional $10.

Swimming

EBTC does not currently offer swim training.

You might want to try one of the various local clubs such as:

Lees Trail Triathlon

Members of the EBTC also organize the Lees Trail Triathlon, a fun, non-competitive mini-triathon held annually at Second Beach in Stanley Park.
